The Pillowman
The Pillowman, written by Irish playwright Martain McDonagh, tells the tale of Katurian, a fiction writer living in a police state who is interrogated about the gruesome content of his short stories, and their similarities to a number of bizarre child murders occurring in his town. This production was staged by Theater B in Moorhead, MN, under the direction of Brad Delzer. The score highlights the production's twin undercurrents of twisted love and long-lasting pain, against a backdrop of sadistic humor and brutal violence.
